Niko de Vera, a former member of the Portland Timbers Academy and Timbers U23’s has joined Timbers 2 for the 2019 season.
Niko was drafted in the Second Round (31st overall) in the 2018 MLS Super Draft by the New York Red Bulls, making 27 appearances (22) starts for the NYRBII in the USL Championship.
The Camas, Washington native played his college soccer at Akron (2014-17) where he achieved 60 appearances (41 starts). During summers of 2016 & 2017, Niko played with the Portland Timbers U23 team in the PSL Niko made 27 appearances and 1670 minutes played, helping the team win Northwest PDL Championship in 2017.
