Central Midfielder Maxi Rodriguez has joins the Richmond Kickers for the 2019 campaign.
Head Coach, David Bulow was recommended Maxi from his former team, San Antonio “His personality and ability fits exactly what we’re looking for with the new Richmond Kickers Pro team and I have been very encouraged by the first couple of weeks of preseason. We may have on one of the best midfielders in all of USL League One with Maxi.”
After two season in the USL Championship with San Antonio FC Rodriguez said “I’m thankful for the opportunity, as well as excited to be part of such a historic club”.
Discussing why he decided to join the Kickers, he continued, “After discussing with David (Head Coach) in the offseason and understanding his vision for the Kickers, it became clear that RIchmon was the perfect place at this point of my career. One thing that really drew me out to Richmond was the roster David was putting together, guys that have USL Championship expereience that will help compete for a championship run. It’s been a great week of preseason so far as we continue to build those relationships on and off the field. It’s been a long offseason for myself, so im looking forward to the season starting, but I think it’s important to really focus on a good preseason to grow as a a team.”

The Richmond Kickers kick-off their USL League One campaign with two home fixtures against Lancing Ignite FC on March 30, followed by Tormenta FC on April 6.
