Sprint MG are delighted to announce the Trevor Spangenberg has signed a multi-year contract to remain with USL Championship side Birmingham Legion FC.
Spangenberg was one the Legion’s inaugral signings in 2019, and is excited to be staying at a club.
“Couldn’t be more excited [to re-sign]. I love playing for this team and for Birmingham,” said Spangenberg. “It’s a trickle down effect of high standards from the very top of this club on down and every year the goals we set for ourselves continue to get bigger. I want to be here and on a team with the highest expectations, surrounded by quality people both on and off the field. I wish preseason started today, the fire for 2023 is real.”

On returning for his fifth season with Birmingham, John Print, Sprint MG Managing Director showed his admiration for Spangenberg’s professionalism.
“I have represented Trevor for a number of years. I think he’d be happy for me to say that Birmingham Legion and the community is very much his home. Trevor has always impressed me with his dedication and professionalism. He may not be getting the game time his skill deserve, but what an influential Number 2 to have on the roster.”
Spangenberg has made 18 appearances for the Legion, including coming in for the penalty kick shootout in our 2022 USL Championship playoff game and making two huge penalty saves.
