What is your number one career highlight?
Being called up for the Dominican Republic U23 Olympic squad to play in the Olympic Games Qualification tournament against USA, Mexico and Costa Rica. Obviously this was cut short but it was a great experience.
What’s been the most challenging moment of your career?
This is difficult…. I would have to say the issues we are facing with the Corona Virus. It difficult for a player who is use to being so active and competitive everyday.
Who has been your biggest inspiration in football so far?
Ludovit Reis (Barcelona FC U23 Player), I lived with him in a small room for 3-4 years when we were at Groningen FC. He is my biggest inspiration because he works so hard and never gives up which earnt him a move to Barcelona. I use his work rate everyday and use it in my game. He is a great guy!!
Which team mate have you connected with best on the pitch and why?
Ludovit Reis again aha, he knows how I play, my strengths and plays to them which improves my game.
What advice would give to yourself at 16?
Just keep going and never give up. Keep working and when you get that chance you need to be ready to take it.
What are your career aspirations?
I want to be playing in one of the top division in the world, Premier League, EFL Championship, MSL, La Liga, Budesliga.
What is the hardest part of being a professional athlete?
You need to be working everyday, again and again, even in the difficult times, even when it is hurting mentally and physically. But that’s what makes a professional athlete.
How are you dealing with the lockdown and how are you keeping fit?
Training with my friend, chilling and watching Netflix, playing Fifa20 and Fortnite.
What advice would give to an upcoming player?
Work hard, believe in yourself, be positive and BE yourself. Its your career and you will be successful if you work hard.
How do you prepare yourself for a game? Do you have any superstitions? Is there a particular pre-match meal you like to eat before a big game?
At Sparta we get bread and cheese pre-game but I eat pasta. I get my music on, focus and get myself in the zone.
