ALZUBAIDI LATE GOAL SEALS HISTORIC WIN FOR YEMEN

Harwan Alzubaidi’s remarkable late winner in the 88th minute not only secured a 2-1 victory for Yemen over Bahrain but also marked a historic milestone as the nation’s first-ever triumph in the Arabian Gulf Cup.

This goal capped off a personally successful week for the centre-back, who earned a spot in the Team of the Round and previously contributed to Yemen’s efforts in a closely contested 3-2 loss to Saudi Arabia earlier in the week (December 25).
