Aug 26, 2020

Sprint MG in partnership with Sports Management Worldwide is delighted to announce that Aqsa Mushtaq (22), has signed her first professional contract with Italian Serie A Women’s side Napoli.

Aqsa is a former Bradford City Academy player, but her potential blossomed at Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina.  After graduating, she caught the attention of Napoli scouts after a stellar 2019 season scoring 13 goals in 17 games playing as a winger.

On signing with Napoli, Aqsa was clearly delighted.

“It’s amazing to get this opportunity, especially as I’m only just out of college (university). Sports Management Worldwide (SMWW) were always on the look-out for the best opportunity and I would like to thank Dave Knibbs for all of his hard work. SMWW were always on top of everything and if I ever needed anything, they were only a phone call away. They have helped me settle into my amazing new team and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!”

Agent Advisor Dave Knibbs is a graduate of the SMWW Soccer Agent course and represents Aqsa Mushtaq. On signing for Napoli, Dave commented.

“When I came across Aqsa’s profile and watched her video, I was excited about her potential. I was confident that she had the quality to become a professional player in Europe. Since learning that Napoli were interested in Aqsa, things have developed quickly. I am delighted she has signed for a club with a prestigious history. It’s a fantastic opportunity Aqsa and can’t wait to see her on the pitch.”

Head of Soccer for Sprint MG / SMWW Agency, John Print also offered his congratulations to Aqsa and those involved with the signing.

“Aqsa is a driven and talent young woman, who could go far. I was impressed with her focus and determination to earn a professional contract, especially during the pandemic. It is testament to her that she was fit and ready to show her quality. I would also like to thank Agent Advisor, Dave Knibbs for his hard-work and belief in Aqsa. It was a challenging time for all, but he believed a deal was possible. I would also like to thank Italian sports agency, Tedeschi & Partners who helped us facilitate the deal with a high degree of professionalism.”

Napoli’s season in Serie A Women’s kicked off on the 22 August against Bari. Their first home fixture is on the 30 August against Fiorentina. For further information visit www.napolifemminile.it
